Rapid Response Calls
NEW! Starting May 2, the Rapid Response Call will be held only once a week, on Thursdays, from 9-10:00 a.m. Check this space often for Call schedule updates as we assess the need for stakeholder calls based on call volume trends.
During this call, we welcome consumers, providers and other stakeholders to join the phone line and ask questions about their individual needs as it pertains to the transition to KanCare.
The KanCare program began conducting the then-daily operator-assisted stakeholder call on Dec. 26, 2012. Issues discussed on each call have been tracked in the State's KanCare Implementation Issues Log, in which you can find a list of the issues being worked by the State in support of consumers and providers.

May Meetings for Consumers Receiving Long-Term Services and Supports
We want to hear from you about KanCare! If you get long-term services and supports (LTSS) through the KanCare program we want to hear from you and your family about how it is going.
All LTSS consumers and their families are invited to a meeting. If you have questions, please call 1-866-305-5147. If you need help because you are blind or deaf or speak Spanish, please call Cindy Stortz at 785- 296-4753. You can also email us at KanCare@kdheks.gov. You must ask for this help by noon on May 13th. We cannot provide transportation to the meetings. We will have two meetings on the same day in each of the cities we visit. Meetings will be in the afternoon and evening. You can come anytime between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM for the afternoon meeting. You can come anytime between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM for the evening meeting. You do not have to stay for the full two hours. Please see the dates and places below. We look forward to seeing you there. These meetings are for you to give us your thoughts. They are not required.

February and March Educational Tour Meetings

September Educational Tour
The second round of meetings for Consumers took place Sept. 24-27 and included meetings in Manhattan, Pittsburg, Colby, Dodge City, Atchison, Chanute, Russell, Pratt, Olathe, Emporia, Hutchinson and El Dorado, in addition to a Teleconference.

August 2012 Educational Meetings (Aging and Disability Services)
KanCare educational meetings for current Medicaid consumers and providers in KDADS-administered programs were held August 21-31, 2012.
