Provider Updates

A new provider escalation guide has been published through the KMAP portal. The guide outlines contact information should providers encounter issues in areas such as provider enrollment and credentialing, authorization and claims processing, electronic visit verification (EVV) access or eligibility. The guide is accessible through the KMAP portal here.

Community Support Waiver

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) have partnered to implement a new waiver called the Community Support Waiver (CSW). The CSW will help Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) live independent lives at home and in the community. With this waiver, KDADS aims to reduce the wait time for I/DD waiver services. Learn more about this waiver by going to the CSW website or sign up for the CSW newsletter.

Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) Communications Workgroup

KDHE has partnered with the Kansas Health Institute (KHI) to develop a strategic communications plan to increase communication efforts for the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program to ensure information is available, easily accessible and understood by those eligible for coverage through the program. The workgroup is in the process of finalizing the plan currently.
