KanCare Member Education Meetings
There will be some changes to the KanCare program. These changes do not affect your eligibility for the program.
You are invited to attend one of the meetings listed below. State staff will be there to provide you with updates and information about KanCare and about what will change and what will not change. You will also be able to give feedback and ask questions.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is offering the opportunity to attend additional public hearings regarding the state’s proposed one-year extension of the KanCare program, and to provide comments about the extension request application.
Public Comment – Timing and Process
This public comment period has been extended to run from June 8, 2017 until July 10, 2017. Comments will be accepted until July 10, 2017; and the State intends to submit the extension no later than August 31, 2017.
Information about the KanCare extension requested, including the extension application and documented comments from public comment meetings held in March 2017, is available for public review. For individuals without access to the internet, copies of the application and public comment document may be obtained by calling 785-296-4753 or writing:

The annual and quarterly reports regarding KanCare
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is offering the opportunity to review and comment on its proposed Medicaid Service Access Monitoring Plan – October 2016. This plan is developed pursuant to 42 CFR 447.203, and describes how Kansas will address the terms of that new federal regulation within the context of the KanCare program through which nearly all Kansas Medicaid services are provided. Public comments were accepted through September 23, 2016.
