The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded the Kansas Medicaid program, known as KanCare, a $2.5 million grant to expand school-based services (SBS) in Kansas over the next three years. Currently in the state of Kansas, school-based services are only available to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
