Beginning July 1 2025, late eligibility reviews will be treated as a new application. To be considered for backdated coverage, the member must answer “yes” to the question about prior medical expenses in the review. Click the link for more information: KanCare.ks.gov/ReconsiderationPolicy.

Effective October 14, 2025, Provider Electronic Solutions (PES) will no longer be supported by the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP). Users will submit EDI transactions through KMMS. Policy Clarifications issued by the agency are listed by the year and then labeled according to the program type: ALL medical programs, Elderly & Disabled (E&D), and Family Medical (FM). Policy Clarifications are used to explain existing policy. These are not policy changes, but rather more detailed explanations of the intent of a policy and often the procedural steps required to correctly process a case according to policy.
